Program Info:
If you are a classic mountain hiker, we recommend you Normalanstieg Kals, 2-Täler Tour. If you have basic knowledge in fixed rope routes or rock climbing we advise you Stüdlgrat, NEW Glocknerüberschreitung.
For guests who still already have alpine experiences the Nordwestgrat or Glocknerwand-Überschreitung would be an unforgettable experience.

Important:
We advice you to plan your Grossglockner tour with one overnight stay.

Home advantage
We will inform you about the different routes and the best season. Rely on our local knowledge! All our Mountain guides are experts for guided Grossglockner tours.

* hiking shoes, which are waterproofed, ankle-deep and have a good sole profile
* change clothes (2nd shirt)

* sunglasses, lip palm, sun blocker

* thermos bottle (1 liter)
* lodge sleeping bag (blankets are available all lodges)
* headache pills
* magnesium

Arrival to Großglockner south side - Osttirol
and ascent to Stüdlhütte

Mostly all our tours start from the south side of Großglockner / Kals / Osttirol.
The Lucknerhaus presents us an ideal starting point for those tours.

The Alpine guesthouse Lucknerhaus (1.920 sea level), is situated directly to the end of the Kalser Glocknerstrasse (toll road)

The parking place P1, directly to Lucknerhaus, is for day trippers. If you want to make one overnight stay at the mountain please take the parking area P2. There you will find enough space for parking.
The parking place at Lucknerhaus is free of charge.

Ascent to Stüdlhütte:
The ascent to Stüdlhütte begins at the parking place P2, directly from Lucknerhaus 1918, sea level. A well marked hiking trail will lead you to Lucknerhütte (2241 m). Hence force you will follow the way (AV Nr. 702 B) across "Viehböden 2550m" and further to "Fanotscharte 2801m", where you will find Stüdlhütte.


TIP: At Lucknerhütte a backpack transport with the cable car is provided.
